This month’s release includes product enhancements, new features, essential bug fixes, security updates, and more. 

Included in this release: 

• Site Admin Configuration Page for Disclosure Form Instructions & Glossary Definition (CORE-2189) 
• Added Faculty Role to Financial Relationships Dashboard and Faculty Disclosures Report (CORE-5147) 
• Changes to ACCME Internal ID field to prevent invalid characters (CORE-5174) 
• Bug fixes for customer course fields to appear in EthosCE Analytics (CORE-5164)  
• Security updates for Drupal 7 and SimpleSAMLphp (CORE-5163, CORE-5172, CORE 5187 and CORE-5193)

Additions

CORE-2189: Add ability for Site Admins to configure Faculty Disclosure page (Fig 1).  

This addition allows Site admins to configure the disclosure introductions block above the disclosure and the disclosure glossary block to appear below the disclosure at admin/config/ethosce/disclosure.

CORE-5147: Add a column for Role to the financial relationship dashboard.  

This addition adds a column to display the Faculty members relevant role in the course to the financial relationship dashboard and the faculty disclosures report (Fig 2).

CORE-5171: Update activity reporting logic to catch fatal errors returned by PARS. 

This additional logic will produce an error message that displays to the Site Admin when attempting to save a Course if a fatal error occurs preventing the activity from being created or updated in PARS.

Changes

CORE-5173: Update the help text of the ACCME tab Internal ID field based on direction from ACCME.  

CORE-5174: Add field validation to the ACCME tab Internal ID field based on ACCME list of valid characters. 

This change prevents Internal IDs from being saved that contain characters that ACCME does not support. 

Fixes

CORE-5164: Fix an issue that prevents custom course fields from being added to Looker.  

This fix ensures that all custom course roles are available in EthosCE Analytics  

CORE-5177: Fix an issue where links are still able to be injected into credit type facets. 

We have implemented a security fix so that HTML cannot be injected into credit type facet search 

CORE-5163: Update to Drupal Core v7.101  

CORE-5172: Add support for HeroDevs Drupal 7 NES for long term security support of Drupal D7.  

CORE-5187: Drupal NES 7.102.2 security update for SA-CORE-2024-008, SA-CORE-2024-005  

CORE-5193: Patch SimpleSAMLphp library for SSPSA 202412-01 

This important security patch impacts customers using SAML methods for SSO configuration. We are asking customers who have an active integration configured on their test site to test the integration prior to production release to ensure there are no issues with access to your site. Please open a ticket with support if you encounter any issues during your tests.
