April 2026
EthosCE Version 7.103
Release Date:
Test Sites: April 2, 2026
Production Sites: April 8, 2026
This month's release includes accessibility improvements, essential bug fixes, and usability enhancements. Included in this release:
- CORE-5468: Remove course rating from homepage landing page blocks.
- CORE-5479: Fix improperly structured definition lists on user profile page.
- CORE-5480: Add accessible title to venue map iframe on course landing page.
- CORE-5486: Add accessible label to star rating select element.
- CORE-5487: Display empty state message on Reported Credits tab.
Additions
CORE-5487: Display empty state message on Reported Credits tab. When a user has no reported credits, the Reported Credits tab on their profile page now displays a "No reported credits found" message instead of showing a blank page. This improves usability by clearly communicating that no data exists, rather than leaving users wondering if the page failed to load.
Fixes
CORE-5468: Remove course rating from homepage landing page blocks. Users were able to rate courses directly from the homepage, bypassing course-level rating restriction settings. Voting has been removed from landing page blocks so that rating controls are only available in the appropriate context, respecting each course's configured restrictions.
CORE-5479: Fix improperly structured definition lists on user profile page. Definition list elements on the user profile page were not structured according to accessibility standards, causing screen readers to misinterpret or skip content. The user profile view templates have been updated to use properly ordered definition terms and descriptions, improving the experience for users relying on assistive technologies.
CORE-5480: Add accessible title to venue map iframe on course landing page. The Google Maps iframe on course landing pages was missing a title attribute, making it invisible to screen reader users. A descriptive title and matching ARIA label have been added so that users with visual impairments can understand the purpose of the embedded map.
CORE-5486: Add accessible label to star rating select element. The star rating select dropdown was missing an associated label, resulting in an accessibility violation. A hidden accessible label has been added so that screen reader users can identify the purpose of the rating input field.
