Cadmium Identity Management System

Cadmium is excited to announce our Cadmium Identity Management System that will allow users to securely log in to our Cadmium products. This solution will be used to log you in to Cadmium Onsite.

Check-in and Badging

Check-in and Badging is a solution that allows attendees to check-in and print their badge themselves directly from a kiosk onsite at an event.  Event planners are able to design a badge within EdgeReg to include any information collected during registration. Check-in kiosk set up is simple and hardware requirements are minimal. Using Cadmium Onsite, it is easy for staff onsite at the registration area to support attendees that need help with getting checked in, or having their badge reprinted. Check-in and Badging is available for customers using EdgeReg.

New Mobile App Release

On March 22, 2024 we release a new build of the Eventscribe mobile app for IOS and Android. Below are the improvements changed in each build.

IOS: GM20240322

  • We fixed an issue where the QR code for scanning other attendees was not displaying correctly. Now, the full QR code is visible and can be scanned properly.
  • We resolved the problem of embargoed abstracts appearing in email exports from the app. Abstracts will now export only according to the embargo release date.
  • We fixed an issue where users of lead retrieval were not receiving the email address of the lead in their mobile app and in their report. Email addresses are now available.
  • We introduced an update to the Twitter logo throughout the app. The rebranded "X" logo will now be displayed on Poster Presenters profiles, App Users profiles, Speaker profiles, and Exhibitor profiles.
  • Other minor bug fixes were also addressed and resolved.

Android: GM-03-22-2024

  • We fixed an issue where some information page elements broke after displaying many lines of elements. Code was updated to accommodate additional lines of elements.

Scorecard: Author and Co-Author Task not holding Capitalization

When users saved their first and last name in the co-author task, the selected title case of their names would not save properly. The user would view their name in the task list of co-authors after completion and an incorrectly formatted version of their name displayed. This was related to a capitalization rule that ran in the process of saving the co-author’s information. This rule has been removed and now the user’s preferred title case will be held throughout all locations in the Scorecard.

Registration: Domain Authentication not allowing hyphens

When a user tried to add a new domain within the Domain Authentication area, the Domain field would not allow hyphens. An update was made, and the domain name is now able to be submitted with hyphens included.

Replace Me

Education Harvester: Downloading recorded and uploaded videos in the Warpwire task led to duplicate files

When an admin user was downloading MP4s from the report page via the Warpwire task, the first file would download with the correct MP4, and any subsequently downloaded files were the same MP4 that was originally downloaded by the admin user. This issue was related to a file system cache. When the Warpwire videos are prepared for download they are all saved to a similar path with the same zip folder name. We have now appended a unique timestamp value to the end of the filename so the correct zip folder would be served to the user.

Website: Booth Logo wall displays a Blue Screen

We resolved a bug affecting the booth logo wall on client websites. The issue was related to how data was handled on the page. To address this, we removed the problematic data from the booth logo wall page.

Website: Twitter logo on the eventScribe Website to showcase the new X logo

We have implemented the rebranded X logo for Twitter on the eventScribe website. Admin Users and Attendees will notice this update across various sections, including the main home page social media icons, poster presenter, speaker, user, poster, session, and exhibitor pop-ups and pages. Additionally, we have updated the logo in the myCadmium eventScribe portal, visible in the Tile Screen Editor, Settings, and Social Media Labels.

Mobile App iOS and Android: Twitter logo on the eventScribe Mobile App to showcase the new X logo

We have implemented an update to the Twitter logo in the eventScribe app for both iOS and Android, featuring the rebranded X logo. This change is visible to admins and attendees across various profiles, including the Poster Presenter Profile, App User Profile, and Speaker Profile. Additionally, enhancements have been made in the myCadmium eventScribe portal, affecting the Tile Screen Editor, Settings, and social media labels.

Mobile App iOS and Android: Embargoed abstracts showing in email export

We have fixed the problem with embargoed abstracts by making changes to how poster data is managed. Now, they will not appear in the exported email or anywhere else until the embargo date. This ensures a smoother experience with embargoed abstracts in the app.

Mobile App iOS: Scanned favorite users QR code displaying a broken QR code image

We have addressed an issue where the QR code was displayed incorrectly on the main tile screen of their event app on iOS devices. With this update, the QR code now appears correctly, enabling users to scan and add other attendees to their favorite users list using their app camera.

Mobile App Android: Scavenger Hunt title display causing other text to be cut off

We have addressed an issue where the title on Android overlapped with the task page of the scavenger hunt, cutting off the instructions text. To resolve this, we have updated the title height for the text, allowing the title space to be flexible and display properly on this page.
