Speaker Ready System is a cutting-edge software solution designed to simplify the complex tasks of collecting, updating, and distributing presentations for event planners and speakers. New Mobile App Build

This quarter, we released two major Mobile App builds. The release that was completed at the beginning of the quarter focused on backend improvements to optimize the performance of the mobile app. It also included a focus on file storage and management. The build released in October, focused on simple UI updates allowing us to begin to implement our new Cadmium branding throughout the Mobile App. Below is a summary of all the updates:

Container Color Improvements

The container screen has been enhanced with a refreshed icon set for the bottom navigation. Additionally, to support further customization, the bottom navigation menu now matches the header color, offering a more cohesive and branded look across the app.

Container Checkpoint in Missions

Alongside the Container Color improvements, the Container Checkpoint color selection options have been updated for better clarity. The “Header Background” color is now the “Menu Background” color, governing both header and menu areas. The “Button Background Color” has been renamed to “Search Button Background Color” to specify its control over the search function. Additionally, a new “Selection Highlight Color” option has been introduced to allow for customization of the color for the selected item on the bottom navigation bar for a more tailored app experience.

Menu Bar Updates

The look and feel of the event app’s menus and icons has been given a refresh to match our new Cadmium branding. The footer menu now matches the color of the event’s header menu, creating a cohesive color scheme across the app that aligns with the event’s branding.

Menu Icon Updates

The icons have been updated throughout the app for consistency. This includes the icons in the footer menu, in the schedule page (such as the dropdown arrow and favoriting star), and social media icons on profiles. These enhancements offer a more modern and unified experience.

Background Color Update

The linen-textured background, originally introduced by Apple in iOS 4 (circa 2010), has been retired and replaced with a modern solid gray background. While this new background color is not customizable, we’ve carefully selected a similar shade to maintain optimal screen brightness for attendees, particularly in low-light environments like darkened conference rooms.

Hamburger Menu and Settings Updates

The Hamburger Menu, once a primary navigation tool within the app, has seen significant changes as new navigation solutions have been adopted. The menu has been streamlined, now only offering the ability to refresh the event app or switch to a different event by returning to the container screen. The Settings section has also been revamped. The outdated options have been removed and updates have been made to the language providing clearer descriptions of the available actions, ensuring a more intuitive user experience.

Message Feature Updates Significant

Significant improvements have been made to the Messages feature in the Mobile App for better organization and user experience. Messages are now separated into two categories: push notifications and user-to-user messages. This change helps attendees easily distinguish between communications from the event and their peers. Additionally, the pop-up window used to send messages to other users has been redesigned with a more modern, streamlined messaging display.

Mobile App iOS: Speaker Biography will now only display based on the Speaker Biography settings

On iOS devices, the poster presenter biography display settings were incorrectly controlling the speaker biography. This has been resolved and the speaker biography will now only display when Show Speaker Bios under the Speaker Profile settings is set to yes.

Mobile App Android: New Message Indication

Some devices were not receiving a Red new message indication on their event app. The App has been updated to show the indication of a new message received.

Education Harvester: Improved the getPresentationsWithPresenterIDsAndRoles method in Education Harvester API

We have improved the way we fetch presentation getPresentationsWithPresenterIDsAndRoles data by changing it from a series of separate searches to a single, more efficient search.

Expo Harvester: Discounts are now supported for fees in the Payment Task

Previously, the payment task did not support discounts applied to fees. Now, when a discount is applied, the system will discount both the base item and any corner, endcap, island or premium fees. This improves consistency between the rental process and payment task.

Expo Harvester: Tax is now supported in the Exhibitor Upgrade task

An inconsistency was found in the 'Exhibitor Upgrade' task where tax would not be displayed when an exhibitor was making a purchase; however, it would show as due after the fact on the invoice. This has been updated so the amount due in the task will now include tax, if the tax setting is being used. All pages listing out the cost of the exhibitor upgrade will now include tax in the reporting and all automated emails from the upgrade task will include an additional line for tax where relevant.

NOTE

Tax is not supported for customers using Lead Retrieval Direct Sales.

Expo Harvester: PAYMENTSUMMARY Hotkey correctly pulling check payment instructions when check selected

The PAYMENTSUMMARY hotkey in the rental process was pulling the incorrect instructional settings for check payments. It was pulling the wire transfer instructions instead of the check payment instructions. This has been fixed so the PAYMENTSUMMARY hotkey will now pull the check payment instructions if check is selected.

Expo Harvester: Exhibitor Download Task QR Code now displaying correctly

In the Exhibitor Download Task, when ‘Download Type’ was set to “QR Code”, the task was not displaying the QR code correctly. The issue was resolved by updating the download task to reference the booth QR codes from a new directory.
